The CCIM Los Angeles Chapter hosted a Broker Property Exchange Forum on March 17, 2009, at California Mart in Downtown Los Angeles.
The event was well attended by brokers of all specialties, as well as by representatives from title companies, escrow companies, and banks. Participants came from as far as Carlsbad to attend the Broker Forum.
Michael E. Dullea, VP and National Commercial Underwriting Counsel for Old Republic National Commercial Realty Services, gave a very informative overview of the Delaware Statutory Trust as a potential alternative to Tenant in Commons (TIC). Mr. Dullea has taught Real Estate Law, Real Estate Finance, Escrow, Business Law, Management and Economic courses in various Universities and Community Colleges since 1976.
Most importantly, brokers had an opportunity to exchange information on needs and wants, and network with important partners, thereby facilitating the deal-making process.
